Day Three Preview
The semi-finalists have already been decided, but there’s plenty still at stake for the eight nations heading into day three at the IWRF Wheelchair Rugby European Championship Division A.
Friday’s action will determine the final order of the two pools and the clashes for Saturday’s crossover matches.
Great Britain and hosts Denmark meet in the final fixture of day three, with the winner to secure top spot in Pool B.
The Pool A clash between France and Sweden has the same consequences, the victor will top the group and take on second in Pool B, while the winner of Pool A awaits the loser.
While Switzerland, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands are out of medal contention at this year’s championship, their future in Division A is on the line.
Poland and Switzerland open proceedings on day three with the winner to take third spot into the crossover rounds and meet the bottom team in Pool A.
Germany will look to put two tight losses to France and Sweden behind them and defeat the Netherlands to finish third in Pool A and receive a more favourable draw in the crossover.
The day three schedule is:
10am: Poland v Switzerland
12.15pm: Germany v the Netherlands
3.30pm: Sweden v France
5.45pm: Great Britain v Denmark
